🎰 From Unwelcome Guests to VIP Treatment at Oaklawn Casino Hotel! 🎭

Our trip took an unexpected turn when we discovered bed bugs at our original resort (yikes! 😱). It was like the bugs threw us a surprise welcome party that we didn’t RSVP to! After we realized our new roommates were the six-legged kind, we decided it was time for a change of scenery.

We relocated to Oaklawn Casino Hotel in Hot Springs—and WOW, what an upgrade! ✨ It felt like we had been living in a black-and-white movie and suddenly switched to Technicolor. No more scratching and itching, unless it’s from winning on the slot machines! The only insects we’re dealing with now are ladybugs, and trust me, they’ve got much better manners.

We kicked off the night with a hilarious comedy show that had us laughing so hard we nearly snorted our drinks through our noses! And speaking of drinks, they were so delicious that I swear they could have been their own act. But get this—it was only $20 for a table! That's cheaper than a decent pair of socks these days. 🎤😂

The night took a legendary twist when I spotted Big Dre Price. Yup, the very same Big Dre Price I last saw perform 11 years ago in Fort Smith! The man has aged like a fine wine—or maybe more like a fine cheese? Either way, his comedy was sharper than ever!

All in all, it was a night of side-splitting humor, nostalgia, and drinks that should probably come with a warning label: "may cause uncontrollable laughter and occasional snorting." 

After some late-night casino fun, where we tested the theory that slot machines pay out more if you give them a pep talk, we decided to refuel at Big Al’s Diner. And let me tell you, that place never disappoints! As soon as we walked in, the scent of sizzling burgers and crispy fries hit us like a warm hug from a food-obsessed teddy bear. We devoured a mountain of fries and burgers so juicy they could double as water balloons. 🍔🍟

The next morning, I was awoken by the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the faint sound of clinking room service trays. Nothing beats the luxury of breakfast in bed, especially when you can watch the horses train from your room like you're the queen of a tiny kingdom of fresh fruit and fluffy scrambled eggs. The view was so stunning, we almost forgot to eat—almost. As the horses trotted around, I imagined them discussing last night’s races like, "Did you see Fred trip on the finish line? That grasshopper came outta nowhere!" 🏇🌅

All in all, it was a morning to remember, with the perfect blend of majestic views, equestrian drama, and enough carbs to feed a small village.

Needless to say, this is our go-to spot whenever we’re in Hot Springs! 🌟 By "go-to," I mean it's the place our GPS automatically sets as "Home" when we hit the city limits. If there was a loyalty program, I’d probably own stock by now. It's the kind of place where the staff knows our order before we even sit down, and I half expect them to have our faces engraved on a plaque somewhere. We’re practically part of the furniture—I'm thinking of asking for a spare key just to save time!
