π From Serenity to a Nightmare at Sunbay Resort π¬
When we first checked into Sunbay Resort in Hot Springs, we were greeted by a breathtaking view that looked like it had been personally crafted by a postcard artist. The combination of idyllic waterfront vistas and elegant geese gracefully paddling under our balcony made us feel like we had stumbled into a nature documentary. π¦’
We decided to keep things simple and cozy for dinner by ordering from DoorDash. Our choice? The Brick House Grill. Now, I'm not saying the chef had a grudge against us, but our meal did get a little extra time in the tanning bed. "It's just a little crispy," I assured Frank, with a hopeful grin. We laughed it off, savoring the charred edges like a fine delicacy.
Little did we know, that was the calm before the storm. On the second night, I was abruptly awakened, feeling like I had just been voted off "Survivor" and into the mosquito-infested jungle. To my horror, I realized I was covered in unwelcome love bitesβnot from Frank, but from the uninvited guests who had crashed our stay: bed bugs!
Let me tell you, nothing bonds a couple faster than the synchronized panic dance of trying to shake off imaginary creepy crawlies at 5 AM. Picture us as Olympic athletes in synchronized "why-is-this-happening-to-us" moves, desperately battling the bed bug invasion
So there we were, on what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway, when our hotel decided to compensate us with the gift of a lifetime: a free night in another room. Sounds great? Well, a hard pass from us!
